WSSI is seeking a water resource engineer to join our stream and wetland restoration design group in Kentucky, working on projects that restore diverse, high-quality, and resilient ecosystems. You’ll be part of an experienced team that has pioneered methods in field investigation, construction techniques, and the application of leading-edge technology to design, with a particular focus on 2D hydrodynamic modeling of flood events. Environmental Scientist (Virginia Beach, Virginia)

WSSI is seeking an environmental scientist with one to three years of experience to join our growing team in our Virginia Beach, Virginia office. This is a multifaceted role balancing technical fieldwork with complex regulatory reporting, primarily focused on site assessments and wetland science. You will conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM, RCRA, and CERCLA standards, as well as perform wetland delineations, stream assessments, and Chesapeake Bay Preservation studies. This position requires the ability to synthesize field data into comprehensive reports and mapping documentation while coordinating across internal departments and engaging with industry organizations. You will navigate diverse outdoor environments using GPS units and digital mapping software like GIS or CAD to ensure projects meet stringent local, state, and federal environmental ordinances.

WSSI is seeking a mid-level environmental compliance specialist to join our Gainesville, Virginia team. Ideal candidates will have a B.S. in Environmental Studies or related field and at least 1 year of experience performing environmental compliance in relation to Virginia Pollution Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) inspections and reporting. Job responsibilities will include inspections and reporting, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) development, and coordinating with federal and state resource agencies with regard to wetlands, erosion and sediment control and stormwater compliance.

WSSI is seeking a full-time GIS Technician specializing in environmental modeling, spatial analysis, and data management to join our Geospatial services team. This role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 1 day per week in office. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in GIS, Geography, or related fields, and be proficient in managing and processing spatial data within the ESRI ecosystem (ArcGIS Pro/Online), navigating AutoCAD or MicroStation, creating interactive web applications with Experience Builder, and customizing FieldMaps and Survey123 applications.
